MICROS Handheld devices include 3-YEAR SERVICE PLANS: Motorola’s Handheld and Epson’s Wireless P60 Thermal Printer include 3-Year Service Plans when purchased from MICROS. Details on the Plan, BEST PRACTICES on use, BATTERY GUIDE for maintaining, and Epson’s SERVICE ENROLLMENT FORM (completed by the End User) are located in our Resource documents.
Payment Card Industry (PCI) and their Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS): ARE YOU AT RISK? If you process Credit Card data, you have contractual security responsibilities that you are probably unaware. ORDER the FREE DVD, "Are You At Risk?", produced by the Retail Solution Providers Association. Just click the "FREE DVD" button above.
PCI Assistance and Consultation: Customers receive assistance on these ever-changing security requirements. We monitor regulations, deliver latest software versions at no charge with Support Plans, and provide upgrade services when necessary. However, upgrading to a software version on the PA-DSS validated list satisfies only 1 of 12 minimum requirements. We provide guidance on meeting the other responsibilities, all part of a Merchant's contractual obligation with the Credit Card Issuers.
PCI PA-DSS Is Not Going Away: Software versions are validated for one year, with a second year revalidation required. Merchants processing Credit Cards should expect to potentially need to upgrade on a 12 to 24 month cycle, to maintain contractual agreements with Credit Card Issuers.
