The Workstation 5a is available in a thin-client architecture storage configuration built with solid-state internal USB flash drive and removable compact flash, having no moving parts, and no fan or hard drive, and comes with Microsoft Windows CE 6.0, for use with the current versions of Oracle MICROS e7, RES 3700 and LES 9700. The Workstation 5a can be configured for Oracle MICROS Simphony First Edition simply by upgrading to 4Gb compact flash, or configured for Simphony 2 for Restaurants compatibility with 2Gb Ram, Hard Drive and POSReady 2009.
Oracle MICROS Tablet-E Series 8-inch ("E" Series = Efficient - Elegant - Engaging) is the newest addition to Oracle|Micros mobile POS solutions, and comes with Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry. "Industry" has lockdown security capability not found in Windows 8.1 Pro, needed for Tablets used in commercial environments and today’s Hospitality industry. We then add custom lockdown scripts to prevent user access to desktop and charm bar. The 8-inch handheld unit is designed with on-the-go staff in mind, and POS Sleeve option adds integrated Mag Stripe Reader and connection to the Charging options. Oracle MICROS PC Workstation 2015 (PCWs 2015) offers the flexibility to configure your workstation the way you want it, and includes a bright 15.0-inch touch screen display. Configurations can include lower-cost Celeron processors with POSReady 2009 or Windows 7, as well as configurations with higher performance COREi5 processors with POSReady 7 or Windows 7. Oracle MICROS Digital Menu and Marketing Display System includes a Digital Display Controller with embedded software to provide Marketing and Merchandising messaging, or Menu Board functionality, to any Oracle Hospitality-compatible Display. For use with current versions of Oracle Hospitality RES 3700.
Oracle MICROS Point-of-Sale Peripherals can include Printer devices for use at POS or any remote locations including kitchen and bar, Cash Drawers, Customer Displays (attached to remote poles, or to the rear of a workstation), and Barcode Scanners.
