DCRS will manage your project from start to finish, ensuring complete satisfaction. We start with our Project Manager assigning one of our Certified Implementation Specialists to your account, to work with the Key Person in your business, by planning and following all the proper steps that ensures your POS implementation is successful.
- Planning Meeting
To insure continued reliable operation of your system, an amount of planning should be performed. This preparation includes Electrical wiring, Hardware placement and care, Implementation schedule, Installation of any applicable 3rd party items, Network Cabling, and Security. Security planning will include discussing your Payment Application Software implementation by a Certified PCI-SSC Qualified Integrator and Reseller (QIR), to assist you in meeting the PCI Data Security Standard. Additional consultation on your initial Product selection, and possible alternatives, is also considered.
- Site Survey
One of our technicians will perform a walkthrough of your business to ensure you have all the proper network cabling and electric in place. We also provide documentation for, and consultation with, your 3rd Party contractors, to help achieve these network and electrical requirements.
- Hardware Staging and Setup
Order, Process, Receive, Unbox, Build, Configure and Load Operating Systems, Burn-in, Connect and Test all hardware components. Document applicable Serial Numbers. Setup and Programming of Wireless Access Points can also be included, when applicable.
- Data Gathering
Gather data and complete worksheets required for system's item files. This procedure and its importance cannot be emphasized too strongly. The only way to receive accurate data from a computer system is to provide it with accurate data. As data is gathered, it will be transmitted to file maintenance worksheets to begin building master files
- Database Development
After all data is received, DCRS will design, develop and implement all data received from your key person
- Database and System Review
Once all of your information is entered into the POS, we will review the system with you from top to bottom to ensure all aspects of the system are laid out to your expectations
When the database is complete, we will return to train all key personnel on all aspects of the system. Once the key staff is trained, DCRS will assist you in training the remainder of your staff on their respective positions.
- Delivery and Site Installation of all equipment
Once all cabling and electric has been put in place, DCRS will install the POS system. Installation also includes final setup of all Firewalls connected to your Internet Provider, and Antivirus and any Disaster recovery software that applies to your purchase.
- Review and Completion of PCI Implementation Statement documentation (when applicable)
Effective March 31, 2016, acquirers must communicate to all Level 4 merchants that beginning January 31, 2017, those merchants use only Payment Card Industry (PCI)-certified Qualified Integrators and Reseller (QIR) professionals for POS application installation and integration, and ensure that those merchants engage only PCI QIR professionals. DCRS is PCI QIR Certified. Also effective January 31, 2017, acquirers must ensure Level 4 merchants annually validate PCI DSS compliance or participate in the Technology Innovation Program (TIP). At that time, Payment Application installations must include completion of the PCI-QIR Implementation Statement on your behalf, by DCRS (a QIR-Certified Company), your acceptance of the Statement, and submission of the Statement to the PCI Security Standard Council.
- Live Support
Now that the system is in place, you are ready to open the doors. Your first day with your new POS system is a very important one, which is why we will be with you every step of the way to ensure all employees are comfortable with your new system. DCRS will also assist in Post Live support if desired.
